VIETNAM – Tripadvisor has unveiled its list of the top 10 most exciting travel experiences in Vietnam for 2023, featuring highlights such as exploring Hanoi by jeep and indulging in street food in Ho Chi Minh City.
The list of the top 10 most exciting travel experiences in Vietnam for 2023 was announced by Tripadvisor, a platform specializing in travel reviews, on September 18, as part of their annual Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards, which are based on real travel experiences and feedback from travelers on the website.

Topping the list is the Jeep tour of Hanoi. This experience also ranks 10th on Tripadvisor’s list of the top 25 travel experiences worldwide. During this tour, visitors will spend 4 hours exploring the historical sites of Hanoi, savoring enticing street food, and enjoying beer at a rooftop bar. The tour is priced at $55 per person.
In second place is the street food exploration experience with students in Ho Chi Minh City. This 4-hour adventure, customizable to your preferences, involves traveling by motorbike with students as your guides. They will accompany you on a culinary journey through the city, sampling delectable street foods like banh mi, grilled clams, and cold beer. The street food tour is priced from $25 per person, including hotel pick-up and drop-off services, with rates varying based on the number of participants. This experience also ranks 14th on Tripadvisor’s list of the top 25 travel experiences worldwide.
“The thrill of crossing the Hai Van Pass, riding through lush forests on a motorbike from Hue to Hoi An” secures the third position. Tripadvisor notes that a custom-designed motorbike tour with professional “drivers” is the “best way” to appreciate the magnificent natural scenery. Travelers should allocate approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes to conquer this route. The tour prices vary depending on the itinerary and the number of participants.
Hanoi features prominently as a destination with multiple top-rated travel activities, receiving three distinctions in this list. Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, and Hoi An also make appearances.
